More about LL

Situated in Sebastopol at 117 Morris St #300, Laguna Lab is a modern arts and culture platform transforming the region’s creative landscape. Adjacent to the Laguna de Santa Rosa — a place revered as sacred for thousands of years — we create here on the “edge” where ideas and culture grow and evolve.

Laguna Lab plans to offer artists and audiences a dynamic venue to explore emerging territories in art, design, music, and movement. The flexible, multi-purpose gallery space supports everything from immersive installations to intimate workshops and mini-conferences converging art, design, and technology.

Here, creators are encouraged to strip away artistic “preciousness” and reveal daring, unfiltered works. In doing so, we aim to contribute to Sebastopol’s broader renaissance, drawing local residents and visitors from across the Bay Area. With ample parking, and an accessible location, we plan to introduce a roster of inspiring experimental programming to elevate Sebastopol as a regional destination for transformative experiences.

Laguna Lab is a project of Jonas.studio

Laguna Lab is made possible by the generous support of the Daniel O. and Robbin H. Davis Living Trust.

Studio Art Drawing Workshop

This is an opportunity to work in the studio as an artist and to create freely. Artists will be encouraged to explore composition, line, tone, and gesture. 4 weekly sessions will focus on different themes over 2 hours and include both hands on work mixed with a little bit of art history. We will work large, so be prepared to get messy.

The final Friday of the month will be a public exhibition of the work created during the workshop.

  • Week 2 - live model

  • Week 3 - abstract

  • Week 4 - experimental

Wednesdays 4 - 6pm during the month of May
